Last month, you may have read all about Neil Warren on the hub. It’s now time to introduce the man who is taking over responsibility for the DC as FPS’ Distribution Centre Operation Director from Monday 29th July – Paul Sapte.
Paul is well versed in logistics having worked in the industry for over two decades. He has worked in a variety of places in this time including bonded warehouse, pharmaceutical and retail FMCG. Speaking of a variety of places, Paul is well travelled to say the least. While he was born in Nottingham, he has lived on three continents – France, Canada, and Australia!
Paul’s now thoroughly settled in not-so-sunny Derbyshire with his wife Kate, son Oliver, and border terrier Pepper. They’ve just spent the last year renovating their house – although we can’t say how helpful Pepper was with DIY!
The other love of Paul’s life is heavy metal and punk music. He catches live music whenever he can, and is an avid reader of rock and metal autobiographies, so we’d definitely class him as a fan!
Paul also has a passion for cinema, with a film collection to rival Netflix.
At FPS, Paul will be managing all aspects of operations at FPS Parkway Rise and Grange Mill Lane in Sheffield, as well as FPS CV Logix in Cleckheaton. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for transport, warehouse management, inventory and stock integrity.
He’ll be playing a large role in not only maintaining customer service levels, but meeting KPI’s as part of establishing a culture of continuous innovation in the DC. Paul will be working with the FPS leadership team to identify areas for change in the DC in order to deliver improvements to both service and cost.
Paul will report directly to Jonathan Eden, with a dotted-line report into Neil Warren.
