Norris Brothers Car Parts Celebrates 50 years of trading

14 Sep 2018

This year, Norris Brothers Car Parts are celebrating 50 years of trading in Northern Ireland.

UAN member Norris Brothers Car Parts is celebrating 50 years of trading in Northern Ireland. Founded by brothers Alwyn and Morley Norris in the late 1960s, in the early days they were a franchise of the Ford’s Motorcraft brand, selling through branches in Coleraine, Carrickfergus, and Drumahoe just outside Londonderry. Despite growing competition over the years, the company has refused to sell cheaper quality products but instead focused on branching out from Motorcraft and distributing the industry’s major brand names, backed up by unrivalled service to the trade. In addition to supplying vehicle parts, they carry an extensive range of tools and accessory ranges, as well as garage and workshop equipment. Several hundred Trade Club customers benefit from the wealth of knowledge gained by Norris Brothers over the years and over 25,000 retail customers possess Loyalty Cards which offer unique discounts and benefits.

Although Alwyn passed away some years ago, his son Adrian continues to run the Coleraine branch. Morley remains involved in the company, ably assisted by Gary Olphert at Drumahoe who has been with the company over 40 years, whilst his son Keith Norris runs the Carrickfergus operation. Keith commented, “personal attention and the selling of top quality products have been the trademark of our organisation, and will continue to be so”. When not busy working within our industry, Keith is a fanatical football supporter and owner of the world famous flag ‘United’s Big Lily” which has travelled the world supporting Manchester United. He has also contributed to several football-related documentaries and is currently involved in a film project to bring his amazing story to the big screen.

UAN would like to wish the Norris family all the very best for their future, and thank them for their continuing support. “
