National Autoparts UK achieves ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Standard

11 Oct 2018

National Autoparts, one of the UK’s leading UK clutch and brake specialists, is proud to announce that it has achieved the latest ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Standard.

Following months of rigorous reviewing of the company’s processes and performance relating to leadership, risk management, and satisfying customer requirements, this prestigious certification is a true testament to National’s dedication to the highest levels of quality management and customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001:2015 is the newest update to the quality management system standard, which provides an integrated approach to quality management and continual

improvement, helping businesses to monitor and manage quality across all operations, as well as achieving consistent performance and service.

It demonstrates the supplier’s ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

The independent assessment was conducted by NQA, a leading certification body, who will continue their annual surveillance to ensure progress is being maintained. With previous ISO 9001:2008 certificates becoming invalid in September 2018, National is setting a barometer for the automotive industry.

All design and product specification work for National’s extensive clutch and brake range is carried out at its Somercotes facility in Derbyshire. The UK facility maintains its engineering focus and high availability with the ability to produce and re-engineer bespoke products quickly.

The announcement follows an extremely successful showcase at last month’s Automechanika Frankfurt, which the supplier says was a result of visitors in attendance putting quality as their first buying criteria. The company, with a larger stand than ever before, welcomed visitors from all over the world including customers from Poland, Scandinavia, Ukraine and Germany.

David Houlden, National Auto Parts managing director, said: “We don’t compromise on quality and it’s great that this is recognised throughout Europe and now through achieving the latest ISO accreditation. It assures our customers of our continual commitment to professionalism and it’s hugely satisfying to be recognised for our ongoing hard work.”
