GROUPAUTO affiliate A T Johnson is successfully taking its newest oil brand, TradeTEC, to customers through a series of promotional campaigns.
The motor factor, which operates 12 vans across two branches in Norfolk, has put together a promotion based around a “free” heavy duty 20ltr oil stand that can hold 8 x 20ltr oils.
If a garage purchases a mix of 12 grades in 20ltrs, then the stand would be supplied free, complete with drum taps and drip trays. The promotion has been a resounding success and the company is hoping to extend the rollout to more garages in the area.
By having the 20ltr oil stand, garages can stock a range of products to cover a high percentage of the car parc. Holding a variety of grades in 20ltr drums also gives flexibility, without the cost of holding multiple grades in 199ltr barrels. Buying product in 20ltr drums is more cost effective than buying product in 5ltr bottles.
TradeTEC is GROUPAUTO’s own brand of high quality lubricants from Exol Lubricants. The brand has been a huge success since its launch and Brian Melton of A T Johnson says it’s important that the factor team buy into the brand as well as customers.
